TECHNOLOGY
I have chosen technology because it covers our world. It provides so many things to make our life easier. For example, we can contact other people that are not near us and especially the people who live other countries or cities. Another example is that we can make the time immortal by taking photo. We want to remember our special days and photos help us to remember. Also,we can copy so many papers by photocopier instead of writing all things that are written on the papers. Morever,technology develops in health gradually. Day by day new things happen about health in technology. In other words, the one's life is rescued day by day. Furthermore, we can reach information so fast.In the past people spent so many times to find any information but today one thing that we need to do is write the word that we try to find out information about it on the "Google" and then we can get the information. That's all. On the other hand,technology has some drawbacks. For instance,when we use the technological devices,w are exposed to radiation and this may make us sick. However, the level of the radiation can  be reducedby technology.In fact,it depends on our usage. The less we use,the less risk happens.That's why technoogy has more advantages than disadvantages. To sum up,technology is beneficial for us.

MY FAMOUS PERSON

I want to introduce to Çağlar YILDIZ. He is my close friend and he is studying at Middle East Technical University. In my opinion, he is supposed to be a famous person because he behaves extraordinarily. According to him, everything which happens around him is meaningless or mustbe corrected. Whenever he faces with an event or something, he always says this sentence: "Why does the person want to behave like this? Or Why did this happen?" Morever,he never accepts any idea which is not thought by him. This behaviour that belongs to him is my favorite. As, I think, people should think carefully and should not accept the ideas which are given other people without thinking. However, so many people cannot do this except Çağlar. In addittion, when we talk to him, he always says that he loves studying and this attracts me so much. Furthermore,he is an open-minded person. He loves thinking new things and  asking. In the future,he will behave like this and his abilities about thinking will be very effectiv for us. He affects me in a good way and I think other people ought to know him. I am sure that  they are affected by him as well.

THE PERSON OF THE YEAR

If I were a jury member of the committee, I could  want to introduce Frazil SAY. He is a marvelous musician. Firstly, I want to mention his life and then I want to explain the reason why I have chosen him. He was born in Ankara in 1970. His father is a musician as well and his mother is chemist. He has a daughter. He started music in his childhood  and firstly he played  melodica. Then he played the piano. Day by day he developed himself. He has twenty reward. He arranges a hundred twenty or a hundred forty concert every year. In addition to be a pianist, he is also a composer and he  has composed a lot of songs. In my opinion he must be the person of the year because he is a unique person in Turkey according to his talent. I believe that he will develop himself more and more and one day everyone will  think like me.

DROUGHT

I have chosen this video bcause drought is a very important and serious issue and everyone should pay attention to this. Day by day this problem is  increasing. Sources of the water  shrink and our world is getting warm.However, we can decrease the risk and possibility of the drought. For instance, we can use our water more carefully : we can close the tap while we brush our teeth or wash our hands and face. Another example is that we can use deodorants or parfumes less or the parfumes that we use should have a less harmful chemicals.These are a very simple example but these are very benefical for decreasing the risk of drought and global warming. When we watch this video, we will learn the causes of the drought and then I am sure that we will be more careful.

MY LIFE

Hi, my name is Hatice. I like extreme sports such as paragliding, skydiving, gliding, ballooning, bungee jumping etching want to explain some of this sport shortly. Paragliding is that someone should jump a hill with a parachute when the wind which is suitable for paragliding comes and then dances with wind. Skydiving is that people jump from the plane which has four thousand heights. The plane that has not engine and has long wings is used for Gliding. If people want to do this sport, they should jump from this plane. I advise you to these extreme sports strongly. I think life needs adrenaline and people also need adrenalin and excitement. In my opinion if there were not any extreme sports, life would be very boring. In addition to do extreme sports I also want to travel all around the world by bike. I know this is very difficult. This requires money and time but I also know that “nothing is impossible.”As far as I believe, if one really wants to do something, he or she succeeds it. I hope that one day  all of my dreams will be true.

5.26 Editing Activity

1-She pay attention to amount of protein in the food she eats. Therefore she eats a lot of beans and eggs.
2- She missed eating meat since she had always liked food she eats,however, she eats a lot of beans and eggs.
3- She cannot imagine eating meat. Because she has grown to appreciate the pure taste of meatless cuisine, and meat tastes very strange to her, so she is happy to be a vegeterian.
4- Limited meatless choices choices on the menus, but it is changing now with the increase in vegeterian restaurants.

5)Grace is opposed to the killing of animals. She is not only vegeterian but also very disturbed by the use of animal fur for clothing.

6)As she does not eat meat anymore , she feels better, healtier and more human.

7)Being a vegeterian and feeling that she is doing her share to protect animals, Grace becomes irritated when people question her motives for being a vegeterian.Although she tries to be patient with such people and make them understand the value of saving animals, often people do not understand.

1.Because she is on a good diet Sandra is always healthy.

2.The commn cold can make you feel very miserable ;therefore,you should stay at home in bed.
